Authentic 5-Minute Thai Peanut Sauce

A quick and delicious Thai peanut sauce that’s perfect for dipping, drizzling, or tossing with your favorite dishes.

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup natural creamy peanut butter
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce (or tamari)
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lime juice
  • 2 tablespoons honey or maple syrup
  • 1 teaspoon toasted sesame oil
  • 1 teaspoon freshly grated ginger
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 12 teaspoons sriracha or chili garlic sauce (optional)
  • 24 tablespoons warm water

Instructions

  1. Measure your peanut butter into a medium bowl.
  2. Add the soy sauce and rice vinegar, mixing to incorporate.
  3. Incorporate the honey or maple syrup for sweetness.
  4. Splash in the lime juice and mix well.
  5. Add the grated ginger and minced garlic, stirring to combine.
  6. Adjust the consistency by adding warm water until desired thickness is reached.
  7. Transfer the sauce into a jar for storage.

Notes

This sauce can be stored in the fridge for up to a week.
