Beer Bread

A simple yet delicious homemade bread made with just three ingredients: beer, self-rising flour, and butter.

Ingredients

  • 1 bottle of beer
  • 3 cups self-rising flour
  • 4 tablespoons butter

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Grab a large mixing bowl and a spatula or wooden spoon.
  3. Pour the self-rising flour into your bowl and then add your chosen beer.
  4. Gently fold the ingredients together until just combined.
  5. Melt about 4 tablespoons of butter and pour half into your batter, mixing gently.
  6. Grease a loaf pan lightly with cooking spray or oil and pour in the batter, smoothing the top.
  7. Brush the remaining melted butter generously over the top of the batter.
  8. Bake for about 45-50 minutes, until golden-brown.
  9. Cool in the pan for about 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.

Notes

For variations, try adding cheese, herbs, or garlic for different flavors.
