  • 1 packet active dry yeast

  • 3 cups bread flour
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 cup chopped sun-dried tomatoes
  • ¼ cup chopped fresh basil

Instructions

  1. Prepare your ingredients: Gather all your ingredients and measure them out.
  2. Activate the yeast: Combine warm water, active dry yeast, and sugar in a bowl. Let it sit for about 5-10 minutes.
  3. Mix the dry ingredients: In a large bowl, combine bread flour and salt, whisking them together.
  4. Combine the mixtures: Pour the yeast mixture into the flour mixture along with olive oil. Mix to form a rough dough.
  5. Incorporate the flavor bombs: Add chopped sun-dried tomatoes and fresh basil to the dough and knead until well incorporated.
  6. Knead the dough: Transfer the dough to a floured surface and knead for about 8-10 minutes.
  7. First rise: Form the dough into a ball and place it in a greased bowl, cover, and let it rise for about an hour.
  8. Shape the loaf: Punch down the risen dough and shape it into a loaf or rolls.
  9. Second rise: Place shaped dough on a baking sheet, cover, and let it rise for another 30-45 minutes.
