Cream Cheese Swirl Pumpkin Bread

A fluffy, moist pumpkin bread swirled with rich cream cheese, perfect for fall.

  • 1 ½ cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • ½ teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • ¼ teaspoon ground ginger
  • 1 cup pumpkin puree
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • ½ cup vegetable oil
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • ¼ cup powdered sugar

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×5-inch loaf pan or line it with parchment paper.
  2. In a medium bowl, combine flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, cinnamon, nutmeg, and ginger. Whisk until well mixed.
  3. In a larger bowl, mix the pumpkin puree, sugar, vegetable oil, eggs, and vanilla extract until smooth.
  4. Gradually add the flour mixture to the pumpkin mixture, stirring until just combined.
  5. In a medium bowl, beat the softened cream cheese and powdered sugar until smooth.
  6. Pour half of the pumpkin batter into the prepared loaf pan, dollop half of the cream cheese mixture on top, and swirl gently.
  7. Repeat with the remaining pumpkin and cream cheese mixtures.
  8. Bake for 55-65 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean from the center.
  9. Cool in the pan for about 15 minutes before turning it out onto a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

Serve with butter, cream cheese, or on its own. Can also be frozen for up to three months.
