Creamy Garlic Butter Steak Bites with Spicy Cajun Alfredo Twisted Pasta

A delightful dish featuring juicy steak bites smothered in a creamy garlic butter sauce served over spicy Cajun alfredo twisted pasta.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1.5 pounds sirloin steak (or chicken/turkey)
  • 12 oz twisted pasta (rotini or fusilli)
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 4 tablespoons butter
  • 2 tablespoons Cajun seasoning
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • Olive oil for cooking

Instructions

  1. Prep Your Ingredients: Chop your sirloin into bite-sized pieces, grate the Parmesan cheese, and measure out your heavy cream and Cajun seasoning.
  2. Cook the Pasta: Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil and cook the twisted pasta according to the package instructions until al dente, usually around 8-10 minutes. Reserve about a cup of the pasta water, then drain the pasta and set it aside.
  3. Sear the Steak Bites: Heat a splash of olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the steak bites and cook for about 3-4 minutes until browned, then flip and sear for another 2-3 minutes. Remove the steak from the skillet.
  4. Create the Garlic Butter Sauce: In the same skillet, reduce the heat to medium and add the butter. Once melted, add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant. Pour in the heavy cream and stir.
  5. Add Cajun Seasoning and Cheese: Sprinkle in your Cajun seasoning and stir. Slowly add the grated Parmesan cheese while mixing. If too thick, add some reserved pasta water.
  6. Combine Pasta and Steak: Add the drained pasta to the skillet and toss it gently in the sauce. Fold in the steak bites and heat through.
  7. Taste and Adjust: Adjust the seasoning or add more cheese to your liking.

Notes

For a spicy kick, consider adding red pepper flakes. Experiment with different proteins or vegetables to customize the dish.
