Crispy Baked Cauliflower Orange Style

A flavorful twist on classic crispy cauliflower, coated in a zesty orange sauce that adds a vibrant pop of flavor to this nutritious dish.

  • 1 head of cauliflower, cut into florets
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 cup flour
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 cup orange sauce
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
  2. Prepare your baking sheet by lining it with parchment paper.
  3. Mix the flour, salt, and pepper in a bowl.
  4. Beat the eggs in another bowl until fully combined.
  5. Set up the breadcrumb station by placing breadcrumbs in a third bowl.
  6. Coat the cauliflower florets by dipping them in the flour mixture, then in the eggs, and finally in the breadcrumbs.
  7. Place the coated florets on the baking sheet in a single layer.
  8. Drizzle the olive oil over the florets and gently toss.
  9. Bake for about 25 to 30 minutes until golden brown and crispy, flipping halfway through.
  10. Prepare the orange sauce in a small saucepan over medium heat until warm.
  11. Toss the roasted cauliflower in the warm orange sauce until evenly coated.

Notes

Save some orange zest for extra aroma and flavor! Adjust the orange sauce with soy sauce or rice vinegar for a twist.
