Glazed Blueberry Brownies

Delightful brownies infused with blueberries and topped with a rich glaze, perfect for any occasion.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1½ cups Blueberries (fresh or frozen, thawed)
  • 10 tablespoons Unsalted butter, melted
  • 1¼ cups Granulated sugar
  • 2 large Eggs, room temperature
  • ½ teaspoon Vanilla extract
  • ½ teaspoon Sea salt
  • 1 cup All-purpose flour, sifted
  • 1 cup Powdered sugar, sifted
  • 2 tablespoons Milk
  • ⅛ teaspoon Vanilla extract (for glaze)
  • Salt (a pinch for glaze)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare your baking pan by greasing it or lining it with parchment paper.
  2. Prepare the blueberries by thawing and patting them dry if using frozen, or rinsing and drying if fresh.
  3. Mix together the melted butter and granulated sugar in a large mixing bowl until creamy.
  4. Add the eggs, one at a time, incorporating each fully before the next, then stir in the vanilla extract and sea salt.
  5. Incorporate the sifted all-purpose flour, folding it in gently until just combined.
  6. Fold in the blueberries until evenly distributed throughout the batter.
  7. Pour the brownie mixture into the prepared baking pan, spreading it evenly.
  8. Bake for 25-30 minutes until a toothpick comes out with a few moist crumbs.
  9. Make the glaze by whisking together sifted powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla extract until smooth.
  10. Glaze the cooled brownies by pouring the glaze over the top and spreading it evenly.
  11. Slice and serve after allowing the glaze to set for about 15 minutes.

Notes

For a dairy-free option, use coconut oil instead of butter and a dairy-free milk for the glaze. Add some chocolate or nuts for variations!
