  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Cream the butter and sugars together in a large mixing bowl until light and fluffy.
  3. Add the eggs and vanilla, mixing until just combined.
  4. Combine the dry ingredients in a separate bowl.
  5. Fold in the dry ingredients gradually into the wet mixture, stirring gently.
  6. Incorporate the chocolate chips until evenly distributed.
  7. Scoop rounded portions onto parchment-lined baking sheets.
  8. Bake for 10-12 minutes until edges are firm.
  9. Cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
