Cosmic Brownies

Homemade Cosmic Brownies are rich, fudgy brownies topped with chocolate ganache and colorful sprinkles, perfect for any occasion.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup butter
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup rainbow sprinkles

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a 9×13-inch baking pan with parchment paper.
  2. Melt the butter in a medium saucepan over low heat, then remove from heat and let cool.
  3. Mix the melted butter with sugar, then add eggs one at a time and vanilla extract, whisking until smooth.
  4. Combine flour, cocoa, baking powder, and salt in a separate bowl.
  5. Fold the dry ingredients into the wet mixture until just combined.
  6. Add in the chocolate chips and gently fold to distribute.
  7. Pour the batter into the prepared pan and spread evenly.
  8. Bake for 25-30 minutes, until a toothpick comes out with a few moist crumbs.
  9. Cool the brownies, then prepare chocolate ganache by heating heavy cream and pouring it over chocolate.
  10. Frost the brownies with ganache and top with rainbow sprinkles while still warm.
  11. Slice and serve the brownies.

Notes

Store uneaten brownies in an airtight container for up to 3 days or freeze for 3 months.
