Homemade Strawberry Pop-Tarts

Delightful homemade strawberry pop-tarts with a flaky crust, filled with luscious strawberry jam and topped with a sweet glaze.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, chilled and cubed
  • 68 tablespoons cold water
  • 1/2 cup strawberry jam
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 12 tablespoons milk
  • Sprinkles (optional)

Instructions

  1. Combine the flour, salt, and sugar in a large mixing bowl.
  2. Cut the cold butter into the flour mixture until it resembles coarse crumbs.
  3. Drizzle in cold water, one tablespoon at a time, until the dough comes together.
  4. Wrap the dough in plastic wrap and chill for at least 30 minutes.
  5. Roll out the dough to about 1/8-inch thickness and cut out rectangles.
  6. Spoon about 1 tablespoon of strawberry jam onto half of the rectangles.
  7. Seal the other half of the rectangles on top and crimp the edges.
  8. Make small slits on the top of each pop-tart for venting.
  9. Bake in a preheated oven at 375°F (190°C) for 20-25 minutes until golden brown.
  10. Whisk together powdered sugar and milk for the glaze.
  11. Drizzle the glaze over cooled pop-tarts and sprinkle with fun toppings.

Notes

Feel free to customize with different fruit jams or fillings.
