Juicy Grilled Vietnamese Chicken

A flavorful Vietnamese chicken recipe, marinated in zesty ingredients and grilled to juicy perfection, perfect for summer barbecues.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 pieces Chicken Thighs
  • 1/4 cup Lime Juice
  • 2 tablespoons Oil
  • 2 tablespoons Soy Sauce
  • 1 tablespoon Fish Sauce
  • 1 tablespoon Brown Sugar
  • 4 cloves Minced Garlic
  • 1 tablespoon Fresh Grated Ginger
  • 1 teaspoon Red Chili Flakes
  • 1/4 cup Cilantro

Instructions

  1. Marinate the Chicken: In a large mixing bowl, combine the lime juice, oil, soy sauce, fish sauce, brown sugar, minced garlic, grated ginger, and red chili flakes. Whisk it all together until well combined.
  2. Add the Chicken: Place the chicken thighs into the bowl, ensuring they’re fully coated with that glorious marinade. Cover the bowl and let it marinate in the fridge for at least 30 minutes, or up to 2 hours.
  3. Preheat the Grill: Preheat your grill to medium-high heat (around 375°F to 400°F).
  4. Grill the Chicken: Take the chicken out of the marinade and place the chicken thighs on the grill. Cook for 5–7 minutes on each side, brushing with leftover marinade.
  5. Rest and Serve: Remove the chicken from the grill and let it rest for about 5 minutes before slicing.

Notes

Serve garnished with chopped cilantro and sesame seeds, alongside colorful salads or jasmine rice.
