Italian Chopped Salad

A colorful and refreshing Italian Chopped Salad filled with vibrant flavors and textures, perfect for any occasion.

Ingredients

  • 1 head of romaine lettuce, chopped
  • 1 cup cherry tomatoes, halved
  • 1 cucumber, diced
  • 1 bell pepper, diced
  • 1/2 red onion, finely chopped
  • 1 cup cooked pasta (optional)
  • 1/2 cup salami, diced
  • 1/2 cup mozzarella cheese, cubed
  • 1/4 cup black olives, sliced
  • Fresh basil leaves, chopped
  • Parmigiano Reggiano, shaved
  • Italian vinaigrette dressing

Instructions

  1. Chop up your romaine lettuce thoroughly and remove any brown edges.
  2. Dice and slice the vegetables: halve the cherry tomatoes, dice the cucumber and bell pepper, and finely chop the red onion.
  3. Cook the pasta if using, according to package instructions, and allow it to cool.
  4. Gather all ingredients in a large mixing bowl: toss romaine, cherry tomatoes, cucumber, bell pepper, red onion, pasta, salami, mozzarella, and olives.
  5. Add chopped basil and sprinkle shaved Parmigiano Reggiano over the salad.
  6. Drizzle Italian vinaigrette over the top and gently mix until coated.

Notes

To keep the salad fresh, store dressing separately until serving. Feel free to customize ingredients to your taste!
