Mango Hibiscus Iced Tea

A refreshing summer drink combining tangy hibiscus with sweet ripe mango, perfect for warm days.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 tablespoons Dried Hibiscus Flowers
  • 5 cups Boiling Water
  • 1 Large Ripe Mango
  • 1 tablespoon Lemon Juice
  • 2 tablespoons Agave Syrup
  • 1 tablespoon Water
  • 1 cup Ice
  • Tea Kettle
  • Blender
  • Air-Tight Container

Instructions

  1. Start by boiling the water: In your trusty tea kettle, pour in 5 cups of water and bring it to a rolling boil.
  2. Steep the hibiscus: Once your water is boiling, remove it from heat and add the dried hibiscus flowers. Let them steep for about 15-20 minutes.
  3. Strain the tea: Once steeped, carefully strain the liquid through a fine sieve into a pitcher to remove the flowers.
  4. Prepare the mango: While the tea is cooling, grab your ripe mango. Cut it in half, remove the pit, and scoop the flesh into your blender.
  5. Add lemon juice and agave: To the blender, add the tablespoon of lemon juice and the agave syrup mixed with a tablespoon of water. Blend until smooth.
  6. Combine everything: In that same pitcher, stir in the mango puree and mix well.
  7. Chill out: Add a cup of ice to your pitcher, or pour it over ice in your glass.
  8. Serve and admire: Pour your Mango Hibiscus Iced Tea into a glass and garnish with a slice of lemon or extra hibiscus flowers.
