Apple Pie Cupcakes

Delightful cupcakes that combine the classic flavors of apple pie with a charming cupcake twist, topped with cream cheese frosting.

  • 1 ½ cups all-purpose flour
  • ½ teaspoon baking powder
  • ½ teaspoon baking soda
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • ½ cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • ½ cup milk
  • 1 cup apple compote
  • ½ cup cream cheese, softened
  • ¼ cup powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a cupcake tin with paper liners.
  2. Mix the flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon in a medium bowl.
  3. Cream the softened butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
  4. Add the eggs one at a time, followed by the vanilla extract.
  5. Combine the dry ingredients gradually with the wet ingredients, alternating with the milk.
  6. Incorporate the apple compote gently into the batter.
  7. Fill each cupcake liner about 2/3 full with the batter.
  8. Bake for 18-20 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  9. Cool the cupcakes in the tin for 5 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack.
  10. Whip the cream cheese and powdered sugar until smooth to make the frosting.
  11. Frost the cooled cupcakes and top with extra cinnamon or apple pieces.
  12. Dig in and enjoy!

Notes

These cupcakes can be stored in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 5 days.
