Cheddar Bacon Scones

Deliciously flaky and buttery scones filled with crispy bacon and sharp cheddar cheese, perfect for brunch or as a savory snack.

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 cup cold butter, cubed
  • 1 cup sharp cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 1/2 cup crispy bacon, crumbled
  • 3/4 cup milk
  • 1 egg (for egg wash, optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Mix the flour, baking powder, and salt in a large bowl.
  3. Cut in the cold butter until it resembles coarse crumbs.
  4. Add the cheese and bacon, stirring to combine.
  5. Pour in the milk gradually until the dough comes together.
  6. Shape the dough into a circle about 1 inch thick and cut into wedges.
  7. Prepare the baking sheet with parchment paper and place the scones on it.
  8. Brush the tops with egg wash if desired.
  9. Bake for 15-20 minutes until golden brown.
  10. Cool slightly on a wire rack before serving.

Notes
