Strawberry Pretzel Salad

A delightful dessert that combines sweet strawberries with a salty pretzel crust and a creamy filling, perfect for summer gatherings.

  • 2 cups crushed pretzels
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 3 tablespoons granulated sugar
  • 1 package (8 oz) cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar (for the filling)
  • 1 cup whipped topping
  • 1 package (6 oz) strawberry jello mix
  • 2 cups sliced fresh strawberries
  • 2 cups water

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Combine the crushed pretzels, melted butter, and 3 tablespoons of granulated sugar in a mixing bowl.
  3. Press the mixture firmly into the bottom of a greased 9×13 inch baking dish.
  4. Bake in the preheated oven for about 10 minutes, or until golden brown.
  5. Beat the softened cream cheese in another mixing bowl until light and fluffy.
  6. Gradually add in 1 cup of granulated sugar and continue to beat until smooth.
  7. Fold in 1 cup of whipped topping gently.
  8. Spread the cream cheese mixture evenly over the cooled pretzel crust.
  9. Boil 2 cups of water in a saucepan, then stir in the strawberry jello mix until fully dissolved.
  10. Allow the jello mixture to cool slightly before mixing in 2 cups of sliced fresh strawberries.
  11. Pour the strawberry jello mixture over the cream cheese layer and refrigerate for at least 4 hours.

Notes

For best results, let the salad set overnight before serving.
