  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon pumpkin spice
  • 1/2 cup pumpkin puree
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup vegetable oil
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 cup cinnamon sugar (for topping)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Prepare the donut pan by greasing it with cooking spray or butter.
  3. Mix the dry ingredients: flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and pumpkin spice in a medium bowl.
  4. Combine the wet ingredients: pumpkin puree, milk, vegetable oil, egg, and vanilla extract in another bowl.
  5. Pour the wet mixture into the dry ingredients and gently fold until just combined.
  6. Transfer the batter into a piping bag and fill each donut cavity about 3/4 full.
  7. Bake in the oven for about 12-15 minutes.
  8. Cool for 5 minutes in the pan before transferring to a wire rack and dusting with cinnamon sugar.

Notes

For a vegan version, substitute the egg with a flax egg and use non-dairy milk.
