Sticky Garlic Chicken Noodles

A savory dish perfectly balancing sweet, salty, and garlicky goodness, with tender chicken and silky noodles.

  • 1 lb chicken breast or thighs, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 3 tbsp honey
  • 4 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 tsp grated ginger
  • 1/2 tsp red chili flakes (optional)
  • 2 tbsp cornstarch
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 8 oz noodles (rice noodles or egg noodles)
  • 2 green onions, chopped
  • 1 tsp sesame seeds (optional)

Instructions

  1. Prepare your ingredients by gathering and chopping everything.
  2. Marinate the chicken in a mixture of soy sauce, honey, garlic, ginger, red chili flakes, and half of the green onions for 15-30 minutes.
  3. Prepare the noodles according to package instructions and set aside.
  4. Coat the marinated chicken with cornstarch.
  5. Heat oil in a skillet over medium-high heat.
  6. Cook the chicken for 5-7 minutes until golden brown.
  7. Add the leftover marinade to the pan and let it thicken for 2-3 minutes.
  8. Mix in the cooked noodles and stir until well combined.
  9. Serve garnished with remaining green onions and sesame seeds.

Notes

For extra flavor, drizzle sesame oil on top before serving and consider adding veggies or nuts for variations.
