Tart Cherry Muffins

Deliciously nostalgic tart cherry muffins packed with flavor and perfect for any time of day.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup soft butter
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 2 cups pitted tart cherries
  • 1/4 cup milk

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Prepare your muffin pan by greasing it or lining it with muffin liners.
  3. Mix your dry ingredients in a large bowl.
  4. Cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
  5. Add the egg and sour cream, mixing until smooth.
  6. Combine the wet and dry ingredients until just mixed.
  7. Fold in the tart cherries carefully.
  8. Add the milk and stir until just combined.
  9. Scoop the batter into muffin cups, filling each about 3/4 full.
  10. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown.
  11. Cool in the pan for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
