  • 1/3 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup marshmallow fluff
  • Chocolate shavings or whipped cream for topping

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Combine the chocolate cookie crumbs and melted butter in a bowl.
  3. Press the mixture into a 9-inch pie dish to form the crust.
  4. Bake the crust for about 10 minutes until slightly firm. Let it cool.
  5. Melt the semi-sweet chocolate chips with heavy cream in a saucepan over low heat.
  6. Whisk together eggs, sugar, vanilla extract, and salt in a large mixing bowl.
  7. Gradually pour in the warm chocolate mixture, whisking until combined.
  8. Pour the filling into the cooled cookie crust.
  9. Bake the pie for 30-35 minutes or until the center is set but slightly jiggly.
  10. Cool the pie for about 10-15 minutes before adding marshmallow fluff.
  11. Chill the pie in the refrigerator for at least 4 hours to set.
  12. Serve with chocolate shavings or whipped cream on top.

For a vegan option, substitute eggs with flaxseed meal and use dairy-free chocolate chips and coconut cream.
