No-Knead Bread

A simple and satisfying no-knead bread recipe that results in a golden-brown crust and airy inside, perfect for any occasion.

Ingredients

  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon active dry yeast
  • 1 1/2 cups lukewarm water

Instructions

  1. Combine the flour, salt, and yeast in a large mixing bowl. Stir to ensure even distribution.
  2. Add lukewarm water slowly and mix to form a shaggy dough.
  3. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap or a towel and let it rise for 12-18 hours.
  4. Flour a work surface and turn the dough out, folding it gently into a ball.
  5. Place the dough on parchment paper, cover with a towel, and let it rest for 1-2 hours.
  6. Preheat the oven to 450°F (230°C) with a Dutch oven inside.
  7. Transfer the dough into the hot Dutch oven and cover with the lid. Bake for 30 minutes.
  8. Remove the lid and bake for an additional 15-20 minutes until golden-brown.
  9. Cool on a wire rack for about 30 minutes before slicing.

Notes

This recipe is highly adaptable; try adding herbs, cheese, or different flours for variety.
