Orange Crush Poke Cake

A delightful poke cake infused with the vibrant flavors of orange soda, topped with whipped cream and colorful sprinkles.

  • 1 box white cake mix
  • 3 egg whites
  • ½ cup (120 ml) vegetable oil
  • 1 cup (240 ml) water
  • ¾ cup (180 ml) cold orange soda
  • 3.5 ounces (100 g) orange gelatin mix
  • ¾ cup (180 ml) boiling water
  • 12 ounces (340 g) whipped topping
  • Orange sprinkles

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Prepare a 9×13-inch baking dish by greasing it with cooking spray or butter.
  3. Mix the white cake mix, egg whites, vegetable oil, and water in a large mixing bowl. Beat on medium speed for 2 minutes until smooth.
  4. Add the cold orange soda and gently fold until combined.
  5. Bake in the preheated oven for 28-30 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  6. Whisk together the orange gelatin mix and boiling water in a separate bowl until dissolved and allow to cool.
  7. Poke holes all over the cooled cake using a fork or skewer.
  8. Pour the cooled gelatin mixture over the cake, ensuring it fills the holes.
  9. Chill in the fridge for a few hours or overnight.
  10. Spread whipped topping evenly over the cake and sprinkle with orange sprinkles.
  11. Slice and enjoy your creation!

Notes

For added flavor variations, consider using pineapple soda instead of orange soda or add fresh fruits between the cake and whipped topping.
