A fun and colorful recipe for American Flag Rice Krispie Treats, perfect for celebrations like the Fourth of July!

  • 4 paper straws (cut in half)
  • 2 oz white candy melts
  • 8 pre-packaged Rice Krispie treats (unwrapped)
  • 5 oz red candy melts
  • 5 oz blue candy melts
  • Red, white, and blue sprinkles

Instructions

  1. Prepare Your Work Area: Clear off your kitchen prep space and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Melt the Candy Melts: In separate microwave-safe bowls, melt the red, white, and blue candy melts in 30-second intervals, stirring until smooth.
  3. Assemble the Base: Place the unwrapped Rice Krispie Treats side by side on the lined baking sheet.
  4. Create the Red Stripes: Drizzle the red candy melts generously across the Rice Krispie Treats.
  5. Add the White: Drizzle melted white candy melts to create a two-layer striped effect.
  6. Blue Square of Stars: Form a square with blue candy melts in the top left corner of the flag.
  7. Sprinkle it Up: Sprinkle red, white, and blue sprinkles on while the melted candy is still soft.
  8. Add Straw Flags: Insert halves of paper straws into the top part of the Rice Krispie Treat flag.
  9. Let It Set: Allow the candy melts to set completely before cutting into squares or rectangles.

Notes

Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to a week. Can be made a day in advance.
