Raspberry Peach Jam

A delightful and nostalgic homemade jam featuring the vibrant flavors of raspberries and peaches, perfect for spreading on toast or pairing with yogurt.

  • 2 cups raspberries
  • 2 cups peaches, peeled and chopped
  • 4 cups sugar
  • 1/4 cup lemon juice
  • 1 package of fruit pectin

Instructions

  1. Prep your fruit: Wash the raspberries and peel the peaches. Blanch peaches for easier peeling.
  2. Combine the fruits: In a large pot, combine raspberries and chopped peaches, mashing them slightly.
  3. Add sugar and lemon juice: Stir in sugar and lemon juice until dissolved.
  4. Bring to a boil: Place pot over medium-high heat and bring to a rolling boil for about 10 minutes.
  5. Add the pectin: Stir in the pectin according to package instructions.
  6. Boil again: Bring back to a boil for 1-2 minutes until thickened.
  7. Test for doneness: Spoon onto a chilled plate to check if set.
  8. Sterilize your jars: Wash and sterilize jars in boiling water.
  9. Fill the jars: Ladle jam into jars, leaving headspace.
  10. Seal and process: Attach lids and process jars in boiling water for 5-10 minutes.
  11. Cool and store: Cool jars and store in a cool, dark place.

Notes

Store jam properly for up to a year. Once opened, keep in the refrigerator for 3-4 weeks.
