Strawberry Heaven

A nostalgic dessert filled with fresh strawberries and creamy whipped cream, perfect for any occasion.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups fresh strawberries, hulled and sliced
  • 1 cup whipped cream
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup sponge cake or ladyfingers

Instructions

  1. Prep the strawberries by washing them, hulling, and slicing before tossing them with sugar and letting them sit for 15 minutes.
  2. Whip the cream by combining heavy cream, sugar, and vanilla extract, then beating until soft peaks form.
  3. Combine the softened strawberries with the whipped cream by gently folding them together to retain some strawberry pieces.
  4. Layer sponge cake or ladyfingers in a serving dish before adding half of the strawberry mixture.
  5. Add the second layer of cake and finish with the remaining whipped strawberry mix.
  6. Chill in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour before serving to allow flavors to meld.

Notes

Serve in clear glass bowls for beautiful presentation and garnish with fresh mint leaves and extra strawberries.
